Steve has almost 30 years experience supporting communities across the community, voluntary and statutory sector.

Currently supporting Power to Change on the Powering Up! Program, Steve’s experience supporting grant panel decision making extends over the last 20 years. This experience began with participation on the Children’s Fund Refugee strand panel in Manchester in 2000. Current experience has included Untld grant panels, the panel for the Black and racialised community (BAME) Enterprise Fund (with Access & SiB) where he job shared the role of Enterprise Development manager at Ubele.

As a fund raiser, over the last 10 years Steve’s successful applications include Community Fund (large grants), Tudor Trust, Garfield Weston, Heritage Lottery, government grant schemes and specialist funds focused on community assets, raising over £5 million for community groups.

Steve’s participation in the Winter support program brings almost three decades of work in the sector and an invaluable experience of being both a grant assessor and successful grant applier.
