Covid 19: Advice on re-opening community buildings

The UK government has issued advice regarding the re-opening of community buildings in a safe manner. The guidance can be found here and details a range of steps that each organisation will need to consider carefully.

Our colleagues at Community Matters Yorkshire have also produced some fact-sheets on re-opening and staying safe.

CASC associate Claire Evans and director Phil Murphy have prepared a short training course on re-opening safely that can be delivered online or face-to-face at premises that have already been prepared with social-distancing safeguards in place. If you’d like to arrange training or a consultation on opening your premises safely please contact us.

A copy of the Powerpoint presentation used with the course (which contains useful links to current advice, tips and resources for re-opening safely) can be found here.

Our friends at Trawden Forest community centre and shop recently showed us around their newly socially distanced facilities and how they’re adjusting to the changing needs of their community. Take a look here.
